The 40-day prayer is scheduled to hold on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground, Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State, at 12pm.

He was laid to rest on Monday, August 24, in the presence of family members, friends and several colleagues from the entertainment industry.
Days before his death, his daughter, Kira, had revealed in an emotional video that the actor was battling stage four cancer and had reportedly been denied chemotherapy at a hospital.
She appealed to the public for recommendations of medical or traditional practitioners who could help treat her father, stressing that the family was not seeking financial assistance.
Lima later also spoke about her father’s condition, claiming that hospitals were refusing to treat him. She similarly appealed for medical assistance, saying she did not want to lose her father.
Following the family’s appeals, Senator Yayi reportedly reached out to cancer specialists in an effort to secure medical treatment for the veteran actor, who was subsequently admitted to the operating theatre.
